The Boys Brigade and Girls Association
Thank you for your interest in our happy group. Our main aim is to ensure that your young person is happy at our club, enjoys being here and makes new friends. We are open to all – there are no barriers to joining and we welcome all children and young people. We do not charge – we just try and fundraise .
Does your child enjoy painting, building lego models and colouring? Or would they rather play sports and perhaps learn a new sport?
We like to try out new activities and if your young person would like to suggest an activity – please encourage them to ask us.
It’s a friendly and relaxed environment here; all adult leaders are DBS checked and between us, we have many years’ experience of youth work.
Occasionally we go on trips which include a weekend camping event at a local Scout site, theme parks and seaside trips.
We have an award scheme for all ages which includes achieving certificates and badges.
At age 14, we encourage our members to take part in The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme which provides them with physical, community and exploration challenges. (see www.dofe.org).
We provide a uniform once your child has settled in to the group.
This is a happy place – we look forward to seeing your child grow and be the best that they can be.
